Now, you already budgeted time to go to church on Sunday, so rather than painting the house, catching up with the garden, or building a new roof, please use the time in reading the Scriptures and prayers!
The readings for Sunday are,
The Collect of the Day: Almighty God, you know that we have no power in ourselves to help ourselves: Keep us both outwardly in our bodies and inwardly in our souls, that we may be defended from all adversities which may happen to the body, and from all evil thoughts which may assault and hurt the soul; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
Almighty God, we entrust all who have been affected by the outbreak of COVID-19, all who will be affected, all who care for them, and all who are dear to us to your never-failing care and love, for this life and for the life to come, knowing that you are already doing for all of us more than we could ever imagine or pray for; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
O GOD, from whom all holy desires, all good counsels, and all just works do proceed:
Give unto us that peace which the world cannot offer.
By your constant presence with us, help us to ever rejoice in your tender love and care,
so that, we, being defended from all fears, may serve you with gladness and singleness of heart; through the merits of Jesus Christ our Savior. Amen.
